Letter: to the County Commissioners of Story County /by James Dockery, secretary of the Virginia Miners Union, 1878 Jun 12.

The letter concerns the death of three miners in an accident at the Gould and Curry Mine. The union informs the county authorities that they consider R. E. Meyers, the foreman, responsible and that they will request the company remove him. The union also notes its dissatisfaction with County Coroner Hodges and asks that he be fired.
